Tim Wise is a writer that the mainstream media won’t touch with a ten foot pole. He speaks truth to power and constantly confronts the white elephant (puns always intended at DP.com) in the room. The white elephant is a Republican party press machine that peddles fear, hypocrisy and dissonance throughout our country.

I chose to use George Clooney as my author simply for Google searches and web traffic since he is part of this weekends hottest movie. Which I haven’t seen yet but I plan to in a day or so.

Finally, someone speaking the truth without having his testimony labeled as liberal rhetoric. I don’t know that much about George Clooney’s politics, but if someone on MSNBC says this or Jon Stewart says or even if I say it, then the impact of the messaged is weakened by personal bias. I have been perplexed and frustrated by the “boost” the McCain ticket’s receiving because Palin is… interesting. Her political genious certainly isn’t winning voters in the polls. People need to start thinking of this election as a critical point in this country’s future as opposed to a nationwide form of entertainment.
