Now I missed Kanye’s performance of Love Lockdown on the VMAs becasue I could not stand to listen to that Russell Brand guy for more than an hour. However, I have been hearing mixed reviews on this new track. So I had to go searching so I could listen to the track and make an informed decision. Personally, it barely sounds like Kanye, but the artistic progression he is making is astounding. Nobody is on his level right now with the innovation. He uses the Autotune yes, but artistically as it supposed to be used, not as a gimmick (Calling T-Pain?). If all of 808′s and Heartbreak is this innovative, Kanye will shut the game down. Im calling it now!
